Shopify · Amazon · brick & mortar

Every channel reconciled, penny to payout.

Shopify batches your orders, nets out its fees and deposits the remainder days later. Amazon holds reserves and settles on its own calendar. Sales tax depends on where the customer lives, not where you do. We bridge every payout back to gross orders, map GST/HST by province, and keep inventory and COGS honest month by month.

Where seller books go wrong

Three habits that hide your real margin.

E-commerce books fail quietly: the bank balance looks fine while margin, tax and inventory drift out of true.

Payouts booked as sales

Deposits net of fees, refunds and reserves get coded to revenue. Sales are understated, fees invisible, and no channel can be compared to another.

Gross orders, fees and refunds all visible

One tax rate for everyone

13% charged to every Canadian order, or 5% to everyone, both wrong. Destination-based tax means Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia orders are all different.

Place-of-supply mapped and settings fixed

COGS once a year

Inventory counted at year-end only, so every monthly P&L overstates or understates margin all year, and price or reorder decisions run on fiction.

Monthly COGS habit, margin you can trust

The bridge every channel needs

One Shopify payout, unpacked.

A payout is orders minus refunds minus fees, batched across days. Book the deposit and you lose all three numbers. We rebuild the bridge for every payout on every channel, so revenue, refund rate and fee load are each visible and comparable.

Amazon gets the same treatment with its settlement reports: FBA fees, referral fees, reserves and adjustments each landing where you can see them.

What we handle

The full seller back office.

Online, in-store, or both. One flat monthly price by volume and channel count.

Channel payout reconciliation

Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, Square, Stripe and PayPal payouts bridged to gross orders, with refunds, chargebacks and fees each booked visibly.

Sales tax by province

Destination-based GST/HST mapped per order, cart settings verified, and provincial retail-tax thresholds (BC, SK, MB, QC) watched as you grow.

Inventory & COGS

Purchases tracked, inventory trued up monthly, gross margin computed the same way every period, tied to your inventory app or FBA reports.

GST/HST filings

Returns from reconciled, destination-mapped numbers, with input tax credits captured on ads, software, freight and inventory purchases.

Channel-level reporting

Revenue, refund rate, fee load and margin by channel, so you know whether Amazon actually beats your own site after all costs.

Catch-up & cleanup

A year of payouts coded to "Sales" with nothing behind it? We rebuild from platform reports, quoted flat, then keep you current.

What it costs

Most Toronto sellers land between $400 and $900 per month, flat, by order volume and channel count. QuickBooks, payout reconciliation, sales tax filings and channel reporting included.

Seller FAQ

Asked by every seller we meet.

Yes. Each payout is bridged from gross orders through refunds, chargebacks and fees to the deposit, and Amazon settlements are parsed so referral fees, FBA charges and reserves land as real expense lines instead of vanishing into a net number.

For most goods shipped within Canada, you charge the customer's province: 13% HST to Ontario, other HST rates in Atlantic Canada, 5% GST to provinces like Alberta. BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec run their own retail taxes with separate registration thresholds. We map your sales by destination and keep your cart settings honest.

A monthly habit, not a year-end scramble: purchases tracked, inventory trued up on a regular cadence, margin computed consistently. You learn about slippage in weeks, not at tax time.

Most sellers land between $400 and $900 per month flat depending on order volume and channels. QuickBooks Online, payout reconciliation, sales tax filings and channel reporting are included.
